TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE STUDENT SONG FESTIVAL

Regulations of the Student Song Festival.

I Student Song Festival (SSF) is a national event organized by Academic Culture Association- The Institute of Art.

II The most important part of the Festival is its contest.

III Goals of the contest:

• showing and promoting musical and literal work of academic society.
• giving a chance to young artists: helping them with showing their work to the public.
• picking the best artists and providing them a further promotion.

IV Elimination to the Contest

1.      Qualifications are held all over the country during various contests, festivals. These events have to be independent and separate reviews organized by academic society or by people interested in promoting talented amateurs

2.      Qualifications to the contest are made by members of Artistic Board of Student Song Festival, Student Song Festival Office or other people picked and accepted by Student Song Festival Office.

3.       Eliminations do not have any limits considering the number of artists performing at the Student Song Festival. The number of artists qualified to the contest depends on artistic level of the eliminations.

4.      Contestants are meant as individual, solo singers as well as bands.

5.      Contestant has to perform two songs in Polish. Contestant should be prepared to perform a third song (The jury can ask artist to sing third song)

6.       Elimination to the contest are coordinated by the Student Song Festival Office.

7.      The Student Song Festival has all of the information about qualification (places, eliminations, terms and conditions.

V  The contest of the Student Song Festival

1.       Artists can be qualified to the contest by certain people (point IV., paragraph 2.) during the eliminations. These eliminations have to be officially invited by The Student Song Festival Office to cooperate. The eliminations are held in September each year.

2.       The Student Song Festival Office provides free accommodation to the contestants.

3.       The Student Song Festival Office does not refund travel expenses.

4.       The Student Song Festival provides technical support, acoustics,  piano and drums.

5.       The contestants are obligated to deliver to the Student Song Festival Office lyrics of the songs with names of music and lyrics writer (deadline- 2 weeks before auditions to The Student Song Festival).

6.       The contestants are obligated to perform the same songs that brought to the Student Song Festival Office.

7.       Laureates of the contest are obligated to perform for free at the laureates concert.

8.       Jury of the Student Song Festival is brought to life every year by Student Song Festival Office.

9.       The decisions about awards, prizes, and money awards are made by the Jury of The Student Song Festival. The decision about other awards that are given not by the jury of The Student Song Festival are made by the Student Song Festival Office.

VI Final regulations.

1.      The contestants give a license  to their songs performed during the Student Song Festival to the Student Song Festival Office. License means- recording, playing and publishing without any limits

2.      The final interpretation of these terms and condition belongs to the Student Song Festival Office.
