44. Studencki Festiwal Piosenki przełamuje tradycję

This yeared Festival was the 44 one. There were a lot of artistic events not only concerts and recitals. We had a possibility to meet also with books and films. The Festival last from 13 till 19 October. We listened concert of New York star - The Klezmatics ensamble which gathered tousends of listeners. The ensmable winner of Grammy prize and well known all over the world.

And it is need to remind that this event come into beginig in 1962 and the cracow competition is one year older than National Song Festival in Opole and what is more important - can be praoud with its stars and talents who starts cariers hiere in Cracow like Ewa Demarczyk, Leszek Długosz, Marek Grechuta, Maryla Rodowicz, Andrzej Sikorowski, Jan Wołek, Wojtek Bellon, Jacek Kaczmarski, Grzegorz Turnau or Raz Dwa Trzy. Will this yeared laureates join them? We should see soon on stages all over the Poland.

There were played racitals by laureates pasts festivals Grzegorz Tomczak (z 1979 r.). Jarosław Wasik (z roku 1994), Paulina Bisztyga (z 1999).

The legendary cabaret Salon of Independent also were awarded in Cracow and becouse the last time the phenomenon of this formation were remind in the book there an evening with Tadeusz Nyczek, Jacek Kleyff and Michał Tarkowski.

The meeting with director Andrzej Żuławski were full of memories and stories with live and movie. With the meeting there were a projections of the film the director Devil.

Magic evening with 'Songwriters' who served Bob Dylan music with 'Bob Dylan night' whtere artists from Poland, Austria, Spain, Czech remind songs and lyrics this great musician.

And as usually there were a big events - concert of Lao Che and Świetliki, evening "We could made it! Lech Janerka songs" where lyrics of Lech Janerka where sing by Renata Przemyk, Wojciech Waglewski, Katarzyna Groniec, Maciej Maleńczuk, Pogodno and Lech Janerka. A Gala Concert in the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre, whre 18 October presented themselv laureates and after them Roman Kołakowski show us "Defined Age - INDEX '68", concert with participation of Katarzyna Groniec, Katarzyna Sikora, Janusz Radek, Marek Bałata and Lublin Federation of Bards.

The Festival was closed prepered by Jan Poprawa concert "13 Poets". It was its 7 edition during which artists from past laureates and creators of authors song and performers of 'Gentleland' and as usually it was warm and soft...
